Recent findings from a European Commission Eurobarometer survey reveal significant support among workers for implementing new regulations addressing the risks posed by artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace. The poll underscores a notable preference for measures that would impose limitations on automated monitoring practices and prioritize the protection of employee privacy.

With 84% of respondents expressing concern over privacy, the survey signals a robust desire for oversight regarding how AI technology impacts working conditions. Notably, three-quarters of those surveyed believe that decisions affecting employees should not be entirely automated, indicating an insistence on human oversight in AI-driven processes.
