The latest update introduces the powerful AI Mode directly into Circle to Search. This advancement allows users to leverage AI’s sophisticated reasoning capabilities to explore complex subjects and refine their initial inquiries with follow-up questions—all without leaving the app. By long-pressing the home button or navigation bar and then circling, tapping, or gesturing on the desired content, users can prompt an AI response if deemed most helpful. From the results, users can scroll to the bottom and tap “dive deeper with AI Mode” for further exploration.

Additionally, users can now access AI Mode via Lens through the Google app on both Android and iOS devices, ensuring a seamless experience for multimodal questions. AI Mode is available in the U.S. and India, allowing users to gain deeper insights across various contexts.

Get Gaming Help When You Need It

Expanding its usefulness, Circle to Search now offers real-time assistance for mobile gaming. Players can use it to identify characters or strategize without interrupting their gameplay. To utilize this feature, players simply long-press the home button on their Android device to activate Circle to Search, then circle or tap to view the AI Overview, which provides pertinent information based on what’s displayed on their screen, including suggested helpful videos.
